OneBeat, Coming to America, Mad Priest Coffee Roasters, and the Bridge Refugee Services present Musical Migrations: a potluck evening of food, stories, and music from the around the globe, exploring how the movement of people around the world has shaped music, and conversely how music can encourage dialogue and resilience amidst displacement and upheaval.
Each fall OneBeat brings 25 extraordinary, individual musicians from around the world (16 countries & territories represented this year) to the U.S for one month to collaboratively write, record, and perform original music, and to lead music-driven engagement with youth and communities. Coming to America is a storytelling collective comprised of Chattanooga's refugee and immigrant communities.
